IN MEMORIAM • FRANK BRANNIGAN (1918-2006)

The passing of Frank Brannigan is a huge loss to the Fire Service. He was the master of building construction and could tell firefighters better than anybody the critical role it plays in our profession. Frank’s genius undoubtedly saved countless firefighters and civilians. Indeed, we are all indebted to Frank for his tremendous contribution to humanity.

His willingness to share his knowledge through his book, Building Construction for the Fire Service; Fire Engineering magazine; Firehouse magazine; Firenuggets.com; and countless publications was a testament to his love of firefighters and this great profession. His legacy will live forever in the hearts and minds of all firefighters.

We would like to express our sincerest and heartfelt sympathy to his family and beloved wife Maurine over their enormous loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
