DEPUTY CHIEF VINCENT DUNN, Ret.


Chief Dunn was a veteran of 42 years on the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), 27 of which were as a chief officer. He is the author of Safety and Survival on the Fireground and Collapse of Burning Buildings. Fire Engineering Books recently released his newest book, Command and Control of Fires and Emergencies. He developed and taught a number of courses for the FDNY, the FBI and the National Fire Academy and is a regular contributor to WNYF. He has a masters degree in urban studies, a bachelor’s degree in sociology and an associate degree in fire administration from Queens College, City University of New York.
