This is a hybrid day of instruction consisting of context building through a short lecture followed by hands-on drills. The hands-on portion of the course will focus on hose handling techniques including grip, body positioning, hose movement, and water application. Students will be taught techniques that allow for minimum staffing deployments of small and large hand lines. Students will also have the opportunity to discuss equipment, hose loads, and implementation of techniques specific to their company / department. The day will conclude with realistic scenarios.
