This course will examine theory and fundamentals of how and why fires start, spread, and are controlled. A study of fire chemistry and physics, fire characteristics of materials, extinguishing agents, and fire control techniques. Fire Dynamics are constantly changing, and firefighters must also be dynamic in their operations. This course will have a live-fire demonstration segment in the Flashover Box.
